Arthur's Seat, Rye, Sorrento, Mount Martha...

After the late night we had last night, I actually slept in until 9am!  And even then was slow moving.  No working out for me this morning.

Loula was up an making breakfast for all of us by the time we got around.  Fresh fruit, which I ate waaaaay too much of.  And her pancakes are famous.  I've heard all about them for a long time now.  Fresh grated orange (from their backyard), cinnamon, lemon, egg whites...I don't know what else.  But that's what made them so good!  I don't even like pancakes and had three of them.  (They were small.)  SO good.  Famous for a reason!

We finally mobilized and made it out the door around noon and headed south of Melbourne to check out the beaches along the peninsula.  Nick's parents built a house in Rye near the beach, so that was kind of the reason for heading that way, but we also wanted to see the other beach towns in the area.

The first stop was at Arthur's Seat.  We drove up to a nice park that overlooked the ocean, and went to the exact spot that Nick and Lara got married 13 years ago!  It was cold.  Much colder than we were anticipating.  (Oh and there were wild kangaroos hanging out when we go there, but they weren't friendly and hopped off before I could get them.)

We were only there a few minutes.  Long enough to check out the park and walk around to the viewpoints.  We were all too cold and got back in the car to head to Rye.
